Hosting Account Registration
Inspiration from Martin Luther King Jr.:
“Take the first step in faith, you don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”
Estimated time for completion: ½ hour
As we discussed in Step 11, your hosting account stores all the files of your website, so your visitors can access them. There are thousands of web hosts, but I recommend GVO because their servers are very reliable, they offer superior customer service, and their pricing is fantastic.
They also provide you with an autoresponder service, video hosting service and a video conference training room – fantastic for dealing face to face with customers.
To set up your hosting account, go here by the way you can try the system free for $1 for 14 days.
Please note http://www.gvo.com is the preferred hosting partner for building your online business. Although it may appear to be a lot to spend $45 a month (after your 14 $1 trial), it is in fact the best provider I have found. They offer all the services you need to run your business. I’ve detailed out a comparison below:

As you can see GVO may seem expensive at first but when you add it up. You are in fact saving at least $200 per month. Not only this but you only need to log into one website now 4 or more!
1. Click on the following link to go to http://www.gvo.com
2. Scroll down until you see the section to start your $1 14 day trial.
3. Sign up with the relevant details.
4. You will now be sent to a new page where you will sign up again to confirm.
5. Fill in all relevant details including payment details. Remember GVO provides you with everything you need to create your online business.

6. Once in the GVO area click on the Web Host Manager link
7. From the next screen click the button that says click here to access your web host manager:
8. On You are now in the main hosting area.
9. Click on Create A New Account
10. You will now be asked to enter in the domain name you registered. A username will
be generated for you and then you will need to create a password – try to make this
difficult for a hacker to find out! It’s best to use a combination of uppercase, lowercase
and numbers. The system will tell you if you password is strong or not.
11. You will now choose a hosting package. By default there is one set up which is
adequate. This is the amount of disk space etc that will be allocated to your website.
Don’t worry you should be able to host 30 or 40 websites at least.
12. Next you will accept the default setting for name servers. Keep the option checked
which says Use the name servers specified at the Domain’s Registrar
Don’t worry about this for now we as we’ll be changing it in a few minutes.
13. Ignore the rest of the settings and click Create. Your website will now be configured
and set up. However there’s one more step before your site is live to the world! You
must go back to namecheap.com and tell them where your site is hosted.
Take note of the following settings:
ns1.gvodns.com
ns2.gvodns.com

Changing DNS Settings
You’re going to enter the information above into your NameCheap account where you
registered your domain.
1. Open your browser and go to www.NameCheap.com
2. Login to your account by entering your Username and Password into the fields in the “Login to your account” box in the top right part of your screen
3. Click on the “Manage Domains” link in the top menu bar
4. Click on your domain name
5. Click on the “Transfer DNS to Webhost” link in the left hand menu
6. Enter in the details, ns1.gvodns.com into box 1 and ns2.gvodns.com into box 2.
7. Click the Save Changes button.
Congratulations! You’ve just set up the platform your website will run on. When you type your domain name into your browser, you may get an error page because it takes a couple hours for your information to travel around all the servers in the world. This is called propagating. Once your information has propagated, you’ll see a holding page from NameCheap. This will remain there until you upload your real website onto the server.
