Step 8 Editing
Estimated time for completion: 2 hours depending on the length of your report
Inspiration from Dan Lok:
“Bite off more than you can chew, and then chew like crazy.”
Congratulations! You’ve completed the hardest part of writing your report. Today you’re going to edit your report for the first time. Editing is the process you go through to see what the report is like, add anything, correct anything, put in a little extra, polish a bit etc!
You need to correct any spelling and grammatical mistakes and make sure it flows smoothly.
Each paragraph should flow naturally into the next and the information should be presented in a logical fashion. For example, if you write a report on building a house, you start off by laying the foundation, then you explain how to put up the walls and finally attach the roof. Your report should present information in the same type of step-by-step sequence so your reader can easily follow along. People will judge you by your report so make sure you have it perfect. As if you were handing it into school or college!
Although there’s not a lot to tell you here, it’s a very important step. Spend as much time as you need editing your report. It’s your giant business card. A well-written report can land you partnerships in the future. You never know who is reading your report, so do your best today to edit it and make it as professional as you can.
Always give your report to someone else to read as a pair of fresh eyes will do wonders as well
