Passion Finder – Step 1

Estimated time for completion: 1 hour

Inspiration from Ralph Waldo Emerson:
“Life is a succession of lessons, which must be lived to be understood.”

What is passion?

Other than the hot, steamy kissy face stuff, it’s doing something you love. If you would be happy doing the same thing every day for the rest of your life and not get paid for it, you’re passionate about it!

Do you feel that passion for your current job? Most people don’t.

What is it for you? What is your passion? Your knowledge could be in high demand. The key to success with the Passion Finder is to reflect and write down everything you can think of. Brainstorm what you are passionate about.

Think about it and let nothing escape. This is your “dream time.” Nothing is limited. Be honest when you do this exercise.

For example, perhaps you like caring for snakes. Out of the millions of people on the internet, a certain segment of the population will share your passion and may be willing to pay for the knowledge you possess.

Today you’re going to be creative. You’re going to open your mind to possibilities, to dreams, to ideas. You’re designing your life around your passion.
Write down as many things as you can that you are passionate about. What really gets you excited? Is it sports, collecting stamps, or even going to work and solving problems everyday? Don’t hold anything back. Use as much paper as you need!

Look at each item on the list from the previous page and reduce the list to the top 5 things you are passionate about. Write your top 5 list below. These ideas will be carried forward to Step 2
